We are always monitoring the COVID-19 situation on Cape Cod and across the nation closely. Masks are optional here at the Inn at Yarmouth Port. We will continue to follow state and local guidelines as they pertain to the travel and lodging industries. If masking requirements change, a sign will be posted on the Inn\’s front door to inform you of our expectation. Anyone feeling ill should not travel.

To this end, we want you to know as you consider booking with us, how we have addressed the COVID-19 pandemic in the past, and what you can expect during your stay at The Inn at Yarmouth Port. That feeling of sudden relaxation as you walk through the front door of our historic sea captain’s home, the smell of Kathleen’s homemade baked goods wafting through the house, the softness of your bed linens and the sophisticated elegance of your surroundings; it’s all here waiting for you whether you’ve been here before or you’re a first time guest. Some things will never change!

Check-in/Check-out/ Use of Common Spaces
We will personally check you in and show you around the Inn and look forward to helping to familiarize you with our property so that you have the most enjoyable visit possible. During check-in, we will set up your breakfast time, show you how to operate our keyless entry system, acquaint you with the safety features of your guest room and answer any questions you may have. Only registered guests may check-in, as visitors are not permitted on site for any reason. Use of masks within the common areas of the inn will be based upon current local guidance at the time of your visit. Masks are not required in outdoor common spaces.
Breakfast & Snacks
The word is out that breakfast at The Inn at Yarmouth Port is something special and we plan to keep it that way! We will keep adequate spacing of our tables both inside and outside. Guests will be asked to commit to a breakfast time Breakfast times starting at 8:00-9:15 in 15 min increments. Please note that all tables are for up to two guests only. We will not be serving group tables indoors or outdoors–but don\’t worry, your travelling companions will be just a few feet from you! As always, the breakfast menu is a mouthwatering single entrée (chef\’s choice daily) plus two other courses often featuring herbs, vegetables and flowers from our own gardens. The menu is posted in the dining room one day prior. Our homemade granola served with milk or yogurt is available daily as an alternative entrée. With advanced notice, we will continue to support any dietary restrictions. Room service is not available but you may request a continental breakfast to go, in advance, if you’re heading out early on an adventure.
The inn maintains its ServSafe Certification and follows all food handling best practices.
Our guests will continue to enjoy self-service pre-packaged snacks and refillable glass bottles of water located in our dining room. We will also continue to serve daily baked goods individually packaged and picked up in the late afternoon in the dining room. We love to bake for our guests!
Housekeeping and Cleaning
Anyone who has experienced the Inn already knows how incredibly clean and rigorous our housekeeping procedures are. We will continue to use the highest quality cleaning products recommended by the CDC to prepare your room. We will meet and exceed all the COVID-19 industry specific and health department regulations that are needed to ensure your safety. We won\’t be changing that any time soon. We will continue to routinely clean high-touch areas throughout our common spaces and we encourage you to use the provided hand sanitizer to enhance safety for all guests. Extra liquid hand soap for hand washing in your room will also be provided.
Daily room tidy service has been re-instated. Tidy service will consist of room freshening, making the bed, trash removal and replacing amenities as needed. If daily housekeeping services are declined, we will make arrangements with you to remove trash and used towels. For stays longer than 3 days, tidy service will be provided on a daily basis.
Other
All staff are trained in proper hygiene, safety and operating protocols as outlined by the MA Safety Standards for Operators of Lodging. Sector Guidelines continue to evolve and are subject to change without notice. Your flexibility is greatly appreciated. Please review our other policies for additional information.
