Sunsets 0n Cape Cod | The Best Things in Life Are Free

There’s nothing more romantic or relaxing than watching Mother Nature tuck everyone in for the night. Cape Cod sunsets are said to be one of the most spectacular on the planet. There are several choice spots near The Inn at Yarmouth Port to set up camp and watch the display. Here are a few of our favorites. All photographs were taken by our Innkeeper, Kathleen.

Gray’s Beach and Boardwalk | Yarmouth Port

An 800 foot boardwalk transports you over the marsh as if walking into a Monet painting. Photos do not capture the absolute beauty of the moment as it must be witnessed. When it’s over, go have an ice cream!

NOTE: if no breeze in the evening, it can be a bit buggy so plan to wear repellant.

Mayflower Beach | Dennis

As one of the Cape’s best beaches for swimming walking and “beaching,” Mayflower Beach also is one of  Cape Cod’s best spots to observe a sunset. Pull your chairs up to the waterline, stick you toes in the sand and wait for the show. You won’t be disappointed! After the show, head back to the Inn and pick up your freshly baked treats while you marvel at your sunset selfies and photos.

Taylor Bray Farm | Yarmouth Port

A farm? for sunset? Well, this little gem of a farm is not only a great place to visit some cute farm animals, it also is a primo spot to watch the daily sunset. In the back of the farm is picnic table with the perfect view. It’s open to the public with free parking. Bring your picnic dinner and indulge in all that nature has to offer. Its a very romantic and quiet spot in the evenings.
