Although it has seen many renovations throughout the years, many of the original appointments remain intact. The century-old wide plank pine floors, beautiful moldings, and fireplaces are reminders of the gentility and graciousness of times past. Our Captain Crocker was not only a well-known ship’s captain but also owned a general store. The site of his original store became the modern-day site for the first Christmas Tree Shop, a famous New England store chain. In later years, Captain Crocker presided over the courthouse that was located on the first floor of this historic Cape Cod Bed and Breakfast. The Innkeepers discovered large beams thought to be from the Captain’s ships during recent renovations. Crews also discovered etchings on the beams, many hand forged nails, wooden spikes and other building artifacts of the period. The award winning Inn is a must when visiting Yarmouth Port.
