Summer is Calling!

Beach days. Sun-filled hikes. Fireflies by the fire. Long, luxurious naps. An adventure you’ll remember for years to come.

When you make a reservation for a summer getaway at the Inn at Yarmouth Port, you’ve reserved much more than just a room – an adventure awaits you.

Start your day with an amazing farm to fork multi-course breakfast. Venture out on the water to witness a majestic whale leap with joy out of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a craft brew and a hearty lunch in the shop-filled, walkable village of Yarmouth Port. Spend a sun-filled afternoon enjoying the blue water and white sand of Cape Cod Bay. Take a luxurious nap in your private, well-appointed suite. At day’s end, gather ‘round the firepit, soak in the calm summer breeze and watch fireflies dance lazily above the lawn.

We’ve curated three experiences to help transform your Cape Cod bed and breakfast stay this summer into an adventure you’ll remember for years to come.

LUXURIOUS NAPPING DESTINATIONS ARE THE NEWEST WELLNESS TREND

The Blue Point Room at The Inn at Yarmouth Port

If restorative sleep is on your agenda, we have just the spot for you.

The benefits of napping are undeniable. Taking a midday snooze is becoming one of the most talked-about adult lifestyle trends, as the restless and overworked among us strive to find ways to get some necessary shut-eye. In fact, researchers say naps are linked to higher productivity, improved mood, and lower stress levels.

In July, we will unveil two brand new luxurious rooms with en suite baths. Book our Brewster and Chatham suites ahead. Each features comfortable, king sized beds, soft bedding, and a quiet, distraction-free haven perfect for your luxurious nap. A few weekends are available in July and August with mid-week rate breaks available.

WANT A WHALE OF A TALE TO TELL?

Add discounted whale watching tickets to your stay.

The waters around Cape Cod rank as one of the world’s top 10 whale watching destinations. And, we can attest that very little compares to the thrill of coming up close to the humpback, finback and minke whales who have arrived for summer feeding season.

The Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises is Mid-Cape’s only whale watch and departs just a short drive from the Inn. Most days include a morning and an early afternoon excursion, led by experienced captains and expert naturalists. Nothing can prepare you for the breathtaking sight of our coastal salt marshes, barrier islands, lighthouse and harbor as you scan the horizon for the telltale whale breach.

Book directly with us and we’ll help you arrange a time for an experience you’ll not soon forget. If you catch an early whale watch, we’ll even pack your breakfast to go!

Edward Gorey House

PART MASTERPIECE. PART MYSTERY. ALL WONDEROUS.

Quirky and unassuming, The Edward Gorey House is one of Yarmouth Port’s hidden treasures.

Located just a stone’s throw from the Inn, The Edward Gorey House museum celebrates the legacy of the famous author and illustrator Edward Gorey. Best known for his animated introductions to PBS Mystery! and books like The Doubtful Guest and The Gashlycrumb Tinies, Gorey pioneered a distinctive style of pen and ink drawings that is simultaneously comical and unsettling.

Our guests rave about the 2019 exhibition, Hippity Wippity: Edward Gorey and the Language of Nonsense, which explores Gorey as one of the primary writers of Nonsense Literature – a genre that ‘revels in breaking down any expected narratives and structures, that lobotomizes language, that confuses with inexplicable storylines and thrusts the reader into an active participation.’ Ready for Nonsense? Book your stay with us today.
